With that in mind, please bring some extra cushions if you plan on setting up a picnic. ● No dogs allowed. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
In The Pines is a live music gig and may get loud. We will do our best to make sure the volume stays at an acceptable level. We will have ear plugs at the merch desk.
In the Pines is an LGBTIQA+ friendly and safe event. There will be no place for anti-social behaviour and there is a zero tolerance approach to discrimination or harassment. If you feel at any point unsafe, please approach a member of RTRFM Staff, UWA Staff or Security. Everyone has the right to a good time no matter how you look or express yourself!
Getting in:
If you have bought a ticket, head to the online ticket desk to check-in and grab a wristband. This will allow you to come and go from the venue all day. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event. If you need a refund, drop us a line after the event. Entrance is at the Somerville Auditorium behind the sports center and the tennis courts. The best parking is in Carpark 1 or 5 or on Hackett Drive. Once you have your wristband you will be able to enter and exit the space as much as you like via the main entrance and via the walkway adjacent to Riley Oval. The Somerville Auditorium is located close to carpark one which is accessible from Mounts Bay Road / Stirling Highway entrance. If you are parking in the main car park off Hackett Drive it is across Riley Oval (Behind the University Club) and on the other side of the Octagon and Dolphin Theatre.
Gold Subscribers:
If you have registered for a ticket, bring that on your phone or print out and have it scanned. If you have not, you can bring your card to the Gold Subscribers point. Note we still need to abide by capacity limits so tickets on the day are limited.
Kids:
Kids under-12 are free (no ticket required). Kids between 12 – 18 must buy a ticket. All people under 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please make sure you are with your kids at all times. This includes those aged 12 – 17. In the Pines is a licensed event and although we welcome kids it is not designed for children and anyone underage must be with you at all times. Please do not allow them to run around the venue out of your sight. They will be brought back to you and if it continues during the day you may be asked to leave. This is a condition of our licence and security concerns.
Companion Card holders/accessibility:
Those with Companion Cards can enter for free. In the Pines is wheelchair accessible. You can also receive support from our Pines Pals, who will be on hand to assist anyone who needs some extra help. Look out for the orange hi-vis vest and let them know if you need anything.
Sensory Space thanks to Enable WA and Plico: This is a space set up in the art garden of UWA, adjacent to Riley Oval. The space is to the right as you are leaving Somerville Auditorium past the two large buildings (Dolphin and Octagon Theatre) on the left hand side. You can also access that space via a wristband-only entrance and exit adjacent to Riley Oval on the far side of Somerville Auditorium. The Sensory Space is a place for those that need a break from any noise or the event as a whole. A place to relax and catch yourself before getting back to enjoy the music. For those who are neurodivergent, but also for everyone.
